A traditional diner, IHOP is a place where you can order pancakes for breakfast as well as hamburgers for lunch or steak for dinner. It even has some 24-hour locations. Anyway, here are the payment methods that IHOP accepts.

Like a few other casual-dining restaurants, IHOP supports mobile wallets by putting QR codes on its receipts. You can pay your bill by opening up your mobile wallet app and scanning the QR code on the receipt. This feature is available at all IHOP restaurants so you can use Apple Pay and Google Pay at all of its locations. Some of its restaurants may also have other point-of-sale terminals that accept contactless payments.

You can also use IHOP’s branded mobile wallet to pay for your meal with a credit card or debit card, but this wallet doesn’t support any third-party mobile wallets like Apple Pay or PayPal. You should also know that while most IHOP restaurants still accept cash, some locations may have stopped accepting it.

Like other diners, IHOP doesn’t support many alternative payment options other than branded gift cards. While casual-dining restaurants can accept EBT through the Restaurant Meals program in participating states if individual restaurants sign up for it, IHOP doesn’t accept EBT. If you’re eligible for the Restaurant Meals program and are looking for an alternative, the diner Denny’s does accept EBT at many of its restaurants in Southern California.

More Things to Know About IHOP

This restaurant is a classic all-American diner that’s best known for its pancakes and it was originally called the International House of Pancakes. You can also order omelets, waffles, bacon, french toast, and many other entrees at this diner and it serves its breakfast menu all day. Unlike a few of the newer fast-casual diners such as First Watch, IHOP is open for dinner as well as lunch and breakfast. Sometimes it also offers limited-time all-you-can-eat pancake deals.

This is a full-service restaurant like other diners so it also provides table service. Additionally, its hours vary. Many of the IHOP restaurants in my area close at 10 or 11 PM although there are some all-night locations in Los Angeles. Like Denny’s restaurants, these IHOP locations could provide a place for friends to dine together after attending a show in LA or an office alternative where you could work on a laptop at unusual hours.

More Casual-Dining Restaurants Where You Can Pay With Apple Pay

You can also order breakfast all day at the Black Bear Diner. It also has full lunch and dinner menus as well as other amenities such as outdoor seating.

Another very popular diner, Denny’s is a restaurant that serves its full menu all day. Denny’s is also known for being open 24 hours and in many cities it may be the only restaurant with an indoor dining area that’s still open after midnight.

A casual-dining restaurant that serves burgers, steaks, and other entrees, TGI Friday’s is positioned as a place where you can relax after a long workweek.

You can also order pancakes, waffles, and other breakfast and lunch entrees at the diner First Watch. It opens very early in the morning and closes in the afternoon, so it’s not open for dinner. It doesn’t have any restaurants in California, but it has several of them in Arizona.

Another diner that serves breakfast and lunch but isn’t open for dinner, The Original Pancake House is a national restaurant chain that has restaurants in several Southern California counties.
