Burger King Payment Methods

Burger King is a quick-service burger restaurant that’s best known for its Whopper burgers, although it also sells chicken sandwiches and it even has vegan burgers. It serves sides such as french fries and onion rings and it also has soda and milkshakes. Burger King also has relatively low menu prices like other quick-service burger restaurants. If you order a value meal there, you can buy a burger with a side and a drink and pay less than you would if you ordered each item separately. Burger King serves breakfast in the morning as well.

Like other quick-service burger restaurants, Burger King can prepare your order quickly. Additionally, its restaurants usually have drive-thru lanes so you typically won’t have to find a parking spot to pick up your meal. Burger King also operates a lot of restaurants so you’ll often see one even at remote locations such as truck stops. This is a restaurant that’s focused on convenience and in many locations it also has drive-thru lanes that are open late at night. Here are the payment methods you can use at Burger King.

Does Burger King Accept Major Credit Cards?

Burger King accepts Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover cards. It accepts both debit cards and credit cards. And it accepts cash as well.

Does Burger King Accept Mobile Payment Methods?

Burger King accepts Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay, and other contactless payment methods for purchases at its restaurants. I confirmed this by looking up the profiles of Burger King’s restaurants in my area on Apple Maps.

Burger King also has both an iPhone app and an Android app. These apps give you digital coupons that provide deals on online orders. Again, this restaurant can prepare orders quickly so it isn’t necessary to order ahead there, but you might want to use its apps anyway to get the deals. Burger King accepts Apple Pay and Google Pay for online orders but doesn’t accept PayPal.

Does Burger King Accept International Payment Methods?

It’s likely that Burger King can accept JCB and UnionPay cards in the US by processing these cards through the Discover network. It’s also likely that this burger restaurant can accept RuPay global cards by using the same process.

Does Burger King Accept EBT?

Burger King accepts EBT at some of its Southern California restaurants but not all of them. I checked the lists of restaurants that participate in the Restaurant Meals program in several Southern California counties to see which Burger King restaurants accept this payment option. There were Burger King restaurants on the lists for Los Angeles, San Diego, Orange, and Kern counties. But there were no locations on the lists for Ventura, Santa Barbara, or San Bernardino counties.

Restaurants have to sign up for the Restaurant Meals program individually to accept EBT and some Burger King restaurants have signed up for this program but others have not. If you’re looking for an alternative, other fast-food burger restaurants such as Wendy’s and Carl’s Jr accept this payment option at many of their Southern California restaurants as well.

Burger King doesn’t accept EBT for online orders. You can only use this form of payment if you visit its restaurants in person.

Does Burger King Have Its Own Payment Methods?

Burger King has its own branded gift card, the BK Crown Card. It’s a gold card with an image of a crown on its front. It’s a reloadable gift card and you can add funds to it on this restaurant’s mobile apps.

Burger King’s apps don’t support split payments, so you can’t combine a gift card with a credit card while making a purchase.

What’s Another Useful Fact About Burger King?

Burger King doesn’t serve hot dogs. It has introduced them as a limited-time menu item before but the hot dogs weren’t popular enough to become a permanent menu item.

What Are Burger King Alternatives That Accept Apple Pay?
